    Care and maintenance

Scoot Boots are made from urethane plastic (TPU), which is a very good material but sensitive to chemicals, extreme temperatures or prolonged contact with moisture.

    Here are a few recommendations:

    1. Storage and cleaning:

Always store hipposandals and accessories in their fabric bag and keep them indoors in a dry place at a moderate temperature.

To clean, simply hose off mud and debris and leave to dry.

Avoid storing them in an enclosed space, as this can trap moisture and cause damage to the plastic (hydrolysis process).

    2. First signs of weakness :

Due to the nature of straps, which are made from a softer plastic, they are usually the first to show signs of weakness

Exposure to moisture or chemicals (e.g. pesticides, fly repellents) can lead to cracking or other damage, particularly around the screws.
