1 - General information
These general conditions of sale and general conditions of use govern sales between SARL SOS SABOTS, whose registered office is located at 30, chemin du Souzan 38490 LE PASSAGE - France, and the customer, which implies unreserved acceptance of these conditions. The information provided on this website or in the descriptive sheets of the catalogue is not contractual and may be modified without notice by SARL SOS SABOTS.

2 - Orders
Orders are recorded via the website.
The customer must identify himself in order to ensure payment and delivery of the equipment.
3 - Validation
In the case of an order placed on the website, the buyer can only validate his/her order after having ticked the words: "I accept the general terms and conditions of sale": he/she then undertakes to respect the general terms and conditions of sale.
The company SARL SOS SABOTS reserves the right to request, before the order is dispatched, supporting documents such as proof of identity (ID card, passport, etc.) and proof of residence at the delivery and/or invoicing address (rent receipt, electricity bill, etc.).
If said documents are not presented, SARL SOS SABOTS may cancel the order without prior notice.
4 - Prices
The prices indicated on this site include all taxes, but exclude postage and packaging, postage being extra and payable by the customer.
The term "carriage costs" used on the order form or on the invoice means "carriage costs + packaging costs (equipment and labour)", which is a flat rate for metropolitan France or according to parcel weight for other countries.
Companies in the Euro zone may order and pay "excluding tax". In this case, they must provide the name of the company, the intra-Community VAT number and proof that this number has been obtained.
5 - Payment
Payment for purchases may be made by credit card (Visa, Eurocard - Mastercard), PayPal or by transfer from one account to another. When paying by bank transfer, SARL SOS SABOTS will only proceed with delivery once the transfer has been credited to the SARL SOS SABOTS account.
6 - Cancellation clause
In the case of a purchase by a company or an administration and in the event of non-payment, the sale will be automatically cancelled and may give rise to a claim for damages against SARL SOS SABOTS. The amount of these damages is established at the amount of the cancelled sale.
7 - Delivery times
Delays for shipment indicated on the website or in the catalogue are given for information only and are calculated from the effective date of payment for the order.
SARL SOS SABOTS may not be held responsible for failure by third parties (carriers, the French Post Office, or any other sub-contractor or supplier for SARL SOS SABOTS) to comply with the delivery times indicated.
8 - Transport
Packaging and transport are always invoiced extra. In the case of delivery by carrier, the risks associated with transport are borne by SARL SOS SABOTS. At the time of delivery and before signing the delivery note, the customer must check for any damage sustained during transport and for conformity with the order. Any complaints must be sent to the carrier within 2 working days by registered post with acknowledgement of receipt.
If the buyer makes a mistake in the destination address and a return is made by the carrier, the costs of re-shipment will be borne by the buyer. The name of the recipient must appear on the letterbox at the address indicated.
SARL SOS SABOTS provides its customers with tracking numbers for parcels or mail sent to the e-mail address provided by the customer when placing the order. If the Customer does not see their parcel arrive within the time limit, they must check that their parcel is not pending at the post office. SARL SOS SABOTS is not responsible for the absence of the customer during the delivery.
In the event of mail being returned for the reason of "unclaimed parcel", the parcel/mail will only be re-sent after receipt of the re-sending costs, which must be borne by the customer.
9 - Warranties
For hoof boots, the warranty is 90 days from the date of invoice, for defective hoof boots. Goods may only be returned to SARL SOS SABOTS with the company's previous agreement. A return number will then be given to the customer. Any parcel sent to us without a return number will be refused. Under no circumstances does the guarantee cover abnormal or improper use of the product. Accessories are not guaranteed. With regard to hoof boots, the horse must be trimmed regularly and correctly by a professional (with photos). If the horse is shod (even on feet that are not wearing hoof boots) the guarantee will not be valid. Similarly, if the horse forges or walks on its hoof boots, it is up to the owner to put bell boots or other equipment to protect them, but no guarantee can be given in this case.
No repairs or modifications must have been carried out by the customer, otherwise the guarantee will be void.
Photos, explanations of events and purchase invoice must be sent within 7 days of the email request for information from SOS SABOTS or the guarantee will be void.
The equipment must be returned within 7 days of the guarantee being approved, failing which the guarantee will be cancelled.
Suppliers decide whether or not to apply the guarantee.
It is the customer's responsibility to return the equipment to SOS SABOTS and it is SOS SABOTS' responsibility to reship the spare parts or the exchanged equipment. SOS SABOTS does not carry out repairs: it merely supplies defective spare parts. If the hoof boot can be repaired using spare parts, the customer shall return only the damaged parts to SOS SABOTS and SOS SABOTS shall send the replacement parts to the customer, who shall be responsible for reassembling them.
Defective items shall be returned in their original packaging.
On the other hand, items with a return guarantee will be sent without the packaging.
For other suppliers, the guarantees will be accepted or not by the suppliers concerned. As SARL SOS SABOTS is a distributor, they cannot be held responsible in the event of a problem with an item. They simply act as an intermediary between the buyer and the manufacturer but are in no way responsible for the guarantee or lack of guarantee. In the event of a dispute, SOS SABOTS will give the customer the manufacturer's contact details.
Hoof boots used on shod horses are not guaranteed under any circumstances (whether or not the shod foot is the one wearing a hoof boot).
Second-hand shoes are not guaranteed, SOS SABOTS simply acts as an interface between the seller and the buyer. No guarantee is given on shoes that are not new.
9BIS - Fit kits loan
The loan of fit kits or used shoes is subject to a deposit which will be retained until the kit is returned. The loan is for a period of 8 days. If the kit is not returned within 8 days, the deposit will be cashed.
The loan will be invoiced at 50 euros (in 2024). This sum will be deducted if the customer actually buys a pair (or more) of new hipposandals within one month of receiving the kit (if the customer withdraws from the sale, this sum will not be reimbursed).
10 - Right of withdrawal and returns
In accordance with French law, the customer (provided that he/she is a private individual) has a right of withdrawal of 14 days from the date of delivery. However, incomplete, worn, damaged or soiled products will not be accepted. Products not returned in their original packaging in good condition are also excluded. Return postage costs and risks are borne by the customer. Opening the seal on the products implies acceptance of the conditions and constitutes a clause cancelling the right of withdrawal.
Glues and silicones cannot be returned, nor can specially ordered items (marked "made to order").
In order to ensure proper management of withdrawal requests, we ask our customers to log in to their account to obtain a return number.
After obtaining a return number, the buyer has 14 days to return the goods in their original packaging (undamaged, without tape marks, labels, pen marks, etc.) with a copy of the invoice and the return number (RMA) indicated on the parcel to the following address:

The customer has to write on the return form what they would like: exchange / credit note / refund. Without any indication from the customer, a credit note will be issued, valid for 1 year.
Refunds will be made no later than 14 days after reception of product. A credit note will be issued for accounting purposes and this credit note will be reimbursed.
In the event of an exchange, the same conditions apply to the cleanliness and integrity of the shoes. If the shoe arrives without a box (or a box that has been scratched by hand or with a label stuck on it, etc.), if the outsole is marked by scratches or traces, or soiled by mud or straw, or if the insole is dirty, a discount will be applied (we will sell the item second-hand and not new) of between 10 and 20 euros per hoof boot minimum.
11 - Liability
Horses and associated activities are inherently dangerous and serious injury or damage may be caused to the horse, to people or to property. By using hoof boots, you accept the risks and their consequences. It is possible that the harness may become partially or completely detached and the horse may become frightened or stumble. It is advisable to desensitise the horse to these situations before using hoof boots. In no event shall our company be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special or consequential damages, to property or life, arising out of or in connection with the use or misuse of our products.
12 - Reservation of title
The transfer of ownership of the goods will only take place once the buyer has paid the price in full. Payment shall not be deemed to have been made until all sums due have been received.
13 - Force majeure
SARL SOS SABOTS cannot be held responsible if the non-execution or delay in the execution of one of its obligations described in these general terms and conditions of sale results from a case of force majeure.
14 - Competent court
Any dispute relating to the interpretation and performance of these general terms and conditions of sale is subject to French law.
Failing amicable resolution, the dispute will be brought before the Commercial Court of Vienne, France.

16- Loyalty points
Loyalty points are generated automatically by the ordering software and are only credited to the customer once the withdrawal period has elapsed, i.e. 14 working days (please note delivery times).
100 points are worth 1 euro
Rewards will be converted into a discount voucher at the customer's request (minimum discount of 15 euros)
The discount voucher is valid for 365 days
